i love babies. i love life. i love celebrating life. very good friends of mine are expecting their first baby in july! i had the privilege of throwing a baby shower for them and well… decided to go all out. with the help of the amazing tanya from milestone events and talented gloria from the flower factory i styled a lavender and honey themed baby shower.
here are some photos from the event.
the lavender came from sacred mountain lavender on salt spring island. the stunning floral arrangements were from the flower factory. the ladies at the flower factory are incredibly helpful and their floral arrangements are not only beautiful but innovative! the vases and gold damask table running is from milestone events. milestone’s not only rents out decor, but they do event planning and decorating as well. they are an amazing resource for couples planning their wedding.
i made all of the food except the honey, pears and the cheese. the cheese was from salt spring island cheese. the honey is from the honey bee centre in surrey. the pink beverages are a lavender infused lemonade, so delicious! i found the recipe here. if you want links to the other recipes feel free to send me an email!
the background was crocheted by yours truly and my sister in law. she also helped me out with the hanging paper rose balls. i created the old book paper flowers and the popcorn cones. the little french biscuit tin is a treasure i picked up in paris last year and was part inspiration behind the theme!
huge thank you’s to tanya, gloria, tyler, christine and rome :)
and another HUGE congratulations to jamie and bec for creating a baby!
