i had the pleasure of being introduced to blue poppy flowers at the beautiful wedding of hillary and kevin. lynne woods had designed with hillary the gorgeous bouquets for her wedding. after the wedding i got in touch with lynne to share with her the photos of the bouquets. i know that vendors who aren’t present at the events usually love to see how the day turned out and always enjoy having photos of their creations.
in september lynne and i got to meet in person. we met at my favourite coffee shop on the drive and connected instantly. lynne commented on how she felt like she already knew me from following my blog (which is exactly what i have intended this blog for!).
lynne is warm, friendly and amazingly sweet. she bought me and rome drinks and treats and we sat for almost two hours talking about weddings, business and social media. it was a wonderful way to spend the morning. she surprised me with this stunning bouquet and i snapped a quick shot of her after the interview for the blog.
lynne’s journey of becoming a wedding florist started somewhat similarly to mine. she had babies and wanted to stay home with them! she dabbled in a few different ventures including a flower shop and ended up helping part time in the floral department at richmond country farms market. from here lynne began receiving referrals for wedding arrangements. this inspired lynne to take a wedding design course. she attended the maureen sullivan design course based out of thomas hobbs florist in kerrisdale. lynne continues to receive weddings through referrals.
when meeting with lynne woods clients can expect a wonderfully warm lady who is personable and down to earth. lynne is genuinely interested in your wedding and loves to discuss all the details, hear the vision and work with you to create the perfect floral arrangements for your wedding. she creates the packages according to your budget, designing something beautiful for everyone.
you can find lynne woods at blue poppy flowers.
