on family. and why i take photos.

on family. and why i take photos.

this family portrait session at my gastown photography studio is why i love what i do. to capture a family naturally interacting with each. to capture truth and love in the moment. that’s why i do what i do.

melissa carr, who’s family i photographed, gave me this review:
“Usually having family photos taken is a bit of an ordeal – especially when you have small children. Bethany made our entire experience a pleasure.  From our initial consultations around the types of photos we were looking for, to providing advice on attire, to keeping our children amused and involved in the shoot, Bethany was a pro.  Her confidence and direction during our session, meant all we had to do was smile and enjoy! The proof is in the pudding.  Bethany’s photographs of our family truly capture “us.”  She is an amazing talent, consummate professional and I would not hesitate to recommend her to anyone!”

melissa has an amazing blog! it’s called the thirties grind and she has two regular features, absurd vancouver properties and “the REAL real housewives of vancouver.” love both of them! this week i was featured as a REAL real housewife! i am also giving away a portrait session to one of melissa’s readers! so enter here for your chance to win a family portrait session.

i also created a little slideshow for melissa and family. if you are interested in what these are, you can view it here.
