“my finger’s are crossed, i love your work!” ended the first email from suzanne, asking me if i was available on her wedding date. i was thrilled that she asked. i was relieved that i was. and i was honoured to be a part of her and ryan’s wedding in july.
i arrived at their apartment on that beautiful sunday morning in july to take photos of suzanne preparing for their wedding. she was glowing. suzanne’s hair was in an up-do bow (so adorable!) by Suki’s, her make-up was being done by Helen Dao, her mom, dad and witness Krystal were relaxed, sipping champagne and her dress was ready, waiting to be put on.
once suzanne had her gorgeous dress on, we headed up to their roof top patio for some photos over looking granville st, vancouver and the north shore mountains. then it was off to the ubc rose gardens for the elegant ceremony, officiated by Gisa Laslo (who was excellent and ryan highly recommended).
ryan and suzanne then got into their vintage limo by Time Limousines and we headed to spanish banks for some portraits and Cecil Green Park House for more photos and the reception.
The reception venue was stunning. sweet beginnings helped with the decorating, the flowers were from kits market on yew st, and all of Suzanne and ryan’s family pitched in to make the evening spectacular. the amazing cake was made by suzanne’s sister-in-law, all the place settings were hand crafted and the DJ was a good friend. the night was excellent. speeches were touching, food was delicious, the beverages flowed and wow… can that family dance!
you’ll notice in the following pictures their guest book by yours truly! we used the images from suzanne and ryan’s engagement session back in may to create a stunning coffee table style guest book album. there was lots of space left on the pages surrounding the images for guests to sign in and say their well wishes. i love how it turned out and definitely recommend it to any bride and groom!
thanks again suzanne and ryan, for asking me to be a part of your wedding day. i was honoured to be there and to get to know you over these past few months!
enjoy!
